Works great with Smartthings

I have a Smartthings hub and had tried the Honeywell Z wave thermostat, which had connectivity problems daily. I returned the Honeywell after finding out that this thermostat is open source Z wave and works with Smartthings and it has worked flawlessly since installing it 2 weeks ago. It does what you need it to do and can be programmed from within Smartthings. I used the smartthings community to program a smart app to run the fan in circulate mode where I can have it automatically turn the fan on for X minutes and off for X minutes since I have 1 hvac on a 2 story house. If you're tech savvy enough to run Iris or Smartthings this is the perfect thermostat for your needs. I have a common wire hooked up so the batteries that came with it are only for back up, so I can't speak for how long the batteries last. I would recommend having a common wire hooked up if at all possible just so you don't have to worry about batteries. Overall I highly recommend to anyone with a Z wave home automation hub.
Easy control from anywhere!

I replaced our old Honeywell thermostat a couple weeks ago with this unit and I couldn't be happier. I can now adjust the heat/A/C configuration from anywhere! The complete IRIS system is a great concept and will only get better as time passes. Currently, we have the thermostat, motion sensor and touch-screen door locks (Schlage). The ability to configure and control our home environment and security remotely is awesome! The thermostat is very easy to set up and configure. It takes at least a couple days to get the timing settings correct but, the fact you don't have to be home to make those changes is such a great leap forward.I would recommend this to anyone. If you're thinking about buying other components like a camera or motion sensor I suggest you read reviews to help you in your decision making process.
Very Good, Reliable Product

I have two of these connected to my Iris system (Upstairs and Downstairs) and have been using them for about a month now. Installation was very simple and the back plate is a nice addition (if you are replacing a larger thermostat and don't want to repaint the wall). After installation, they found the system and I have yet to have any issues with them. I can easily control temperatures for both systems from my iPhone. If you have an Iris system, this is very cost effective (compared to Nest or some of the other WiFi systems out there). Very happy with my purchase so far.
