So like with everyone else, I'll just say that it does what it's supposed to do - allow you to remotely set your WH temperature over the internet from anything with a web browser or an app store. However, mine likes to randomly disconnect from my WiFi network and the stuff inside of this device tells me it costs all of $5 to manufacture, if that. I find it disappointing that some of the more advanced features also require the premium subscription to use.
What I'd really like to see is this device's price be cut in half from what I paid for it (or the current price as of November 27th, 2017). I'm glad I didn't pay more when I got my water heater though, because it wasn't worth the price at that point. I'd also like to see Google Home, Alexa, and Siri integration through the IRIS service.
It works but could be better

1 Wish the hot water tank display indicated the Energy Smart temperature setting.
2 internet connection is weak and drops out 3 or 4 times a week.
3 Setup was not straight forward or quick
4 Technical support was/is very good

Easy install, choose to add this when my old water heater gave out. Lowes had the water heater in stock but this module had to be ordered and took 3 days to arrive. Easy setup over WiFi and linking to Iris Hub. I'll probably take it with me if I ever move.
