Lowes fixed the losing setting issue
Reviewed on 11/09/2015
I read all the reviews and was not going to purchase because I could NOT afford to lose settings when power failed more than 5 minutes. So I called Lowe's and was told they updated the product a year ago and fixed that. I purchased and installed to test. After leaving unplugged for 12 hours it DID maintain all wireless settings. I have had it installed now for 2 weeks and although there is still no sensitivity setting for the motion trigger, it works fine for me as there are NO branches or anything the should be moving in my view. So when it triggers to save a 30 second clip, it is a real event. Picture is clear in daytime and clear enough when using IR at night. Very solid case construction. I am not using audio so that not being supported is also not an issue for me.
No sensitivity setting for motion
No audio supported through IRIS
DOES now hold setting after losing power.
Simple & Fits The Need

To be frank, I was a bit leery after reading some of the reviews. However having a large IRIS setup I decided to give it a shot. I am very happy. Yes, being an engineer there are always things I can opine for, but this is a high quality, high-weatherproof (IP56) camera. AS stated in at least one other review, you need to have a good wireless network and it works flawlessly, and is very easy to setup. Having tunable sensitivities is a good feature request, but I am not having any issue and I have lots of trees. I do agree they could be a problem, but moths, etc., are always an issue in a motion sensing environment. So yes, I'd like more control, but it's a very good and simple camera as it sits today. Also, was an easy buy and pickup, just an fyi.
